What makes Wu Long, Yerbe Mate, Green Tea, and Chamomile tea so important for the hCG diet?

One of the most popular questions asked in Patient Services is “Do we have to drink the teas?”.  The teas listed for Phase 2 have endless benefits not only for the hCG protocol but for your health in general.  Review the important facts about each tea and how they can help you with reaching your health and wellness goals!
Wu Long Tea (sometimes called Oo Long Tea)
Wu Long ea helps block fattening carbs.  Researchers in Japan discovered that drinking Wu-long tea before consuming carbs (15 minutes before) reduces the effect of the insulin boost usually associated when carbs are eaten.  This means the carbs that are usually stored and converted to fat are blocked.
Wu Long tea promotes great skin.  In a new study published in the Academic Journal Archives of Dermatology, researchers from Japan’s Shige University of Medical Science found that drinking Wu Long daily had a dramatic skin clearing effect, within about 4 weeks of regular consumption.
Wu Long tea reverses signs of aging.  As we age the effect of stress, pollution, processed food additives, etc. take its toll on your body by creating free radicals.  These free radicals are responsible for producing many of the visible signs associated with aging such as dark spots and wrinkling of the skin.  Drinking Wu long has been proven to reduce and destroy half the amount of free radicals in the body thus may help reduce the visible signs associated with aging.
Wu long tea strengthens your immune system.  Drinking Wu Long tea can bolster the immune system as suggested by recent studies, probably due to the strong antioxidant properties inherent in all tea.s
Yerbe Mate Tea
There are many health benefits associated with Yerbe Mate, gained from its nutritional and chemical compounds.  Research suggest that the special was in which Yerbe Mate is consumed makes it uniquely beneficial to the human body.
Yerbe Mate tea:

·         Is a good detoxifier
·         Produces deeper sleep
·         Boosts the immune system
·         Relieves allergies
·         Possible reduces the risk of diabetes and hypoglycemia
·         Relaxes muscles
·         Decreases hunger cravings
·         Beneficial to the digestive tract

Some of these benefits derive from Yerba Mate’s similarity to Green Tea.  Its processing method, like that of green tea, preserves similar antioxidants and nutritive values.  Other benefits derive from Yerbe Mate’s unique compounds.  The Journal of Ethno pharmacology identifies many of Yerbe Mat’s helpful nutrients, “vitamins B-1, B-2, A, riboflavin, carotene, colin, pantothenic acid, inositol and 15 types of amino acids.”  Significant quantities of potassium, sodium, and magnesium are present in the leaves as well as the infusion.  All of these nutrients are important to healthy body function and important to have present while on the hCG protocol.
Green Tea
For centuries green tea has held strong to its reputation as a very effective and trustworthy anti-oxidant for all kinds of health problems and diseases.  The Chinese have been using it for over 4,000 years to treat problems like headaches and infections and is now being tested and proven with hard evidence of its strong healing properties by science and research institutions all over the world.  The benefits of green tea include a lot of healing and preventive processes that cater to diseases like cancer, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, infections, impaired immune functions, and cardiovascular diseases.  The benefits of green tea also involve problems with high cholesterol and improving the cholesterol rate in the body.  By drinking recommended amounts of green tea, the human body is cleansed from toxins that usually cause a lot of health problems, which in the future improves your health and your lifestyle as well.
Green tea is able to provide people with these benefits because it contains certain vitamins in which it is particularly rich in EGCG or epigallocatechil gallate.  This is a powerful anti-oxidant that inhibits cancer cell growth and kills present cancer cells without harming the rest of the healthy tissue in the body.  This element also helps in lowering cholesterol levels, balances them, and prevents the abnormal formation of blood clots in wounds.  EGCG has become so reliable and popular in the medical community that it even produces better results than red wine, which contains a polyphenol called resveratrol that prevents heart diseases as well.
Green tea is natural, so you can expect very few side effects or maybe none at all when drinking it regularly.  Other benefits that have been discovered recently include effective burning of calories when mixed with caffeine and the prevention of tooth decay and food poisoning because of its ability to destroy bacteria as well.
Chamomile Tea
